Japanese Mitsubishi buys Italy’s De’ Longhi air-conditioning division in a €664 mn deal.
After Italcementi, Pirelli, Ansaldo Breda and Sts (to name a few recent cases), another piece of Italy is headed into foreign hands. In this case, it’s a name that’s been a big part of Italian business. It’s “a piece of the 1990s,” which has grown steadily both through acquisitions and organically, and seemed somehow immune to major crises.
